In line with the efforts of the The Advisory Board of Autism Services and the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) to empower national competencies with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in building an inclusive society that enables all its members to contribute to the national development process, the Board and the Fund signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to qualify and employ 1000 citizens with ASD.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Saad bin Ayed Al-Shahrani, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Firas bin Abdulaziz Aba Al-Khail, Deputy Director General of the Fund for Business, today, Monday, November 17, 2025, on the sidelines of the Second International Autism Conference in Dhahran, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud, Chairman of The Advisory Board of Autism Services.

This MOU is part of the Council’s and the Fund’s efforts to enhance the professional and economic integration of individuals with ASD into the labor market. This ensures the quality and suitability of job opportunities for the beneficiaries’ needs, aligning with the goals of the National Transformation Program to empower the most in-need groups and increase their participation in economic development.

Under the memorandum, the two parties will work on providing career guidance services to develop and empower national competencies with ASD and raise their awareness about labor market skills and requirements. Additionally, they will collaborate in securing sustainable and quality employment opportunities and contributing to the qualification and awareness of private sector work environments to ensure they are inclusive and appropriate for the needs of employees with ASD, and verify the quality of the training, qualification, and employment services provided to the beneficiaries, ensuring their compatibility with best international practices.
